CHICAGO, Illinois — A 30-year-old man has died following a stabbing inside a home in the Brainerd neighborhood on the city’s South Side, according to the Chicago Police Department.
Police say the incident occurred around 12:50 a.m. in the 9200 block of South Green Street. The victim was involved in a fight with a known individual inside the residence when the suspect allegedly stabbed him with a knife before fleeing the scene.
The victim was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities reported that the suspect fled in a white sedan. A knife believed to have been used in the attack was recovered at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing as police work to identify and locate the suspect involved in the fatal incident.
