The community of Hillsboro mourns the loss of Paul David “Dave” Carroll, who passed away on March 25, 2026, at the age of 75 in Festus.
Born on May 5, 1950, in Chaffee, Dave was the beloved son of the late Edna and Leo Carroll. He lived a life rooted in family, kindness, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of the outdoors.
Dave found happiness in hunting and fishing, and nothing meant more to him than spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his warm heart, unwavering dedication to his loved ones, and the genuine care he showed to friends and family alike.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vicky; his four children, Paul (Julie), Melinda (Victor), Amanda (Nick), and Michael (Starr); 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and his sister, Darlene. He was preceded in death by his brother, Willard “Butch.”
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, Robert Brown Chapel.
As family and friends gather to honor his life, they will remember a man whose legacy lives on through the love he shared and the memories he created.
