LAS VEGAS, Nevada — A woman has died following a shooting in central Las Vegas, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Police say the incident occurred near the 2800 block of Karen Avenue, close to Sahara Avenue and McLeod Drive. Officers responded to reports of gunfire and found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
Despite emergency response efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities confirmed that the department’s Homicide Section has been notified and will be leading the investigation. Further details, including the identity of the victim and possible suspects, have not yet been released.
