SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Authorities are investigating after a person was found dead Tuesday afternoon near Mission Espada Park on the city’s South Side.
Officers with the San Antonio Police Department responded just after 2 p.m. to the 9700 block of Espada Road following reports of a deceased individual.
Officials confirmed one person has died, though the circumstances surrounding the death remain unknown. The San Antonio Fire Department also responded and described the situation as an “obvious DOA.”
Police secured the area, which is located in a wooded section near Mission Espada Park, as the investigation continues.
Authorities say the scene remains active, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
