A homicide investigation is underway after the body of an unidentified woman was discovered in the Addicks Reservoir area in northwest Houston.
According to police, the discovery was made around 1 p.m. on Saturday when a man riding his bicycle along Sherwood Forest Street near Chatterton Drive spotted the woman’s body near a pond and alerted authorities.
Officials stated that the circumstances surrounding her death are considered suspicious, citing visible trauma marks found on her body. Investigators have not yet released further details, including the victim’s identity.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
