Former Australian model and socialite Annabelle Price has been found dead in her Sydney apartment after friends raised concerns about her welfare. New South Wales Police confirmed that officers attended a unit on Wride Street in the city’s eastern suburbs at approximately 2:40 p.m. last Sunday, where they discovered the body of a woman in her 30s. Authorities established a crime scene, but later stated that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
Price, 34, was a recognizable figure within Sydney’s social circles, known for her presence in the fashion and social scene. Her sudden passing has prompted an outpouring of condolences from those who knew her, as well as members of the wider community. She is survived by her two children, whom she shared with her former husband, private wealth adviser Freddie Blencke.
Reports indicate that their relationship had previously involved legal proceedings. In October 2022, Blencke was convicted of an assault-related offense involving an incident at their Vaucluse home. He was acquitted of additional charges, including a separate assault allegation and breaches of an apprehended violence order, and served a 30-day jail sentence.
While authorities have ruled out suspicious circumstances in Price’s death, her passing has left family and friends mourning the loss of a young woman whose life was closely followed within Sydney’s social community. Investigations into the circumstances of her death remain ongoing, as officials continue standard procedures.
