It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Doreen Ellen Allen on April 9, 2026, at Gillbrooke Care Home, Clabby, formerly of Brownhill Meadows, Irvinestown, County Fermanagh. Her passing marks the end of a life filled with love, devotion, and quiet strength, leaving behind cherished memories for all who knew her.
Doreen was the devoted daughter of the late Richard and Sarah, and a loving sister to David (Joan). She was predeceased by her siblings Wesley, Kathleen, and Violet, all of whom she held close in her heart throughout her life. Family was at the center of Doreen’s world, and she carried that love with grace and unwavering loyalty.
She will be fondly remembered as a treasured aunt, grand aunt, and great grand aunt to Rachel, George, Cheryl, Mark, Tanya, and their families. Her presence in their lives was one of warmth, kindness, and gentle care—qualities that defined who she was and how she lived.
Doreen’s life was marked by simplicity, compassion, and a deep sense of connection to those around her. She was someone who valued family above all, offering quiet support, thoughtful words, and a comforting presence that will be deeply missed.
Her remains will arrive at Derryvullen North Parish Church, Irvinestown, on Friday at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m., followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard.
Family homes will remain private. Family flowers only, with donations in lieu, if desired, to the Alzheimer’s Society, care of FG McFarland & Sons, Funeral Directors, Kesh.
Doreen Ellen Allen is very deeply regretted by her entire family circle and all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
