The community is mourning the tragic loss of Subhash Ovhal, a 42-year-old resident of Sane Chowk, who died following a fatal road accident in Chinchwad on Monday afternoon.
According to police reports, the incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. as Ovhal was riding his motorcycle from Thermax Chowk toward Bird Valley Chowk. During the journey, a truck attempting to overtake his motorcycle reportedly struck his vehicle.
The impact caused Ovhal to fall onto the road, after which the truck ran over him. He sustained severe injuries in the collision and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Authorities confirmed that the truck driver has been taken into custody, and a case has been registered in connection with the incident. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the crash.
